Embassy Suites Hotel Downtown Names Food and Beverage Director

Suburban Inns has named Michael Weinrich the Food and Beverage Director for its latest hotel, the Embassy Suites by Hilton at 710 Monroe in downtown Grand Rapids

Weinrich has 12 years of professional experience in the food and beverage industry. Most recently he worked as the general manager of several properties under the Urban Feast umbrella, a catering company that had MSU Athletics among its clients.

“Over the last 9 years I have been a part of all forms of banquets and events,” Weinrich said. He mentions 400-person MSU Football Program Christmas dinners and private brunches at Coach Tom Izzo’s house, center court at the Breslin Half Time contest, recruiting dinners, and countless alumni tailgate events. “This experience has taught me planning. I excel under pressure and this level of catering and banquets has helped me hone that skill into being prepared for almost anything.”

At the Embassy Suites, Weinrich will be responsible for all food and beverage operations. This will include the new Whitewater Lounge, Whitewater Café, banquet events, and the Embassy Suites signature complimentary breakfast space.

He is a 2004 graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Business Management.
